Strontium Perchlorate is hygroscopic and has found use
in sealed pyrotechnic devices where it produces a red colour.
It can be made by electrolysis.
Several hydrates exist, the dihydrate and possible a monohydrate.
3Sr(ClO4)2:2H2O also exists.
Its molecular weight is (anhydrous) 286.52
